The Carnegie UK Trust - our client
The Carnegie UK Trust was established in 1913 by Scots-American Philanthropist Andrew Carnegie to address the changing needs of the people in the UK and Ireland, especially those who had less power in society.
Representative Democracy
In 2010, the Carnegie UK Trust launched MAKING GOOD SOCIETY, the final report of the independent Commission of Inquiry into the Future of Civil Society. Hundreds of people across the UK and Ireland contributed to the Commission's work. MAKING GOOD SOCIETY identifies the most pressing issues facing civil society in the 21st Century. This animation looks at what is meant by representative democracy – and how civil society can drive change to make sure the voices of people and communities are heard.
